AI in Leadership – Don’t be left behind

Unlike anything most of today’s leaders have experienced before, AI is quietly revolutionising every single industry, from healthcare to finance, education to aviation.

As a leader, it's your job to stay ahead of the curve. This means horizon scanning - keeping an eye on what's coming over the horizon. And right now, that horizon is dominated by AI.

Change is inevitable, and AI is a massive change. But it's not just about embracing change; it's about embracing the right change. Before diving headfirst into AI, consider these questions:

  • Is this the right change for my business?

  • What are the potential risks and benefits?

Not surprisingly, many businesses have been borne out of the AI revolution. Early adopters designing products that promise to help your business in one way or another. It is tempting to be lured in by the promises, but are the outputs proven? Will it bring a return on investment? And if it does, do I need to enlist an external company for this, or is it something that can actually be built in house?

Leading the Charge

Once you've decided to embrace AI, the next step is to bring your team along for the ride. Start small. Show them how AI can make their lives easier, both at work and at home.

Remember, AI is not optional. It's happening, whether you like it or not. Those who embrace it will thrive, while those who resist will be left behind.
